30th August 2020

After a bit of a break since the last lot of Munros in early August, we were all hoping that our legs would be up for doing two testing Munros in two days. This was the first of them.

A relatively short and gentle climb to the base of the mountain itself offered no real difficulties. Thankfully there was just enough of a breeze to put the midges off! The ascent then changed dramatically, to a steep and pretty relentless climb.

Loose and rocky underfoot the rest of the way made it slow going at times, and having set off in pretty clear weather, the clouds arrived just as we got close to the top!

Perhaps the lack of views on the summit was a bit of a blessing in disguise for those of us who aren't great with heights!
